Genna received her bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Springfield College in 2016 and Doctorate in Physical Therapy, also from Springfield College, in 2018. During her time at Springfield, Genna was exposed to a variety of sport and fitness activities, from being a member of the volleyball team to training with Strongman athletes. This exposure lead her to earn a certification in strength and conditioning, which she has used to train young volleyball athletes in the Boston area as well as coach volleyball at the competitive club level (NERVA). During one of her clinical rotations at Mercy Health (formerly Cincinnati Sports Medicine), Genna became certified in Sportsmetrics, an ACL injury prevention program, which she frequently integrates into return to sport rehabilitation for athletes of all ages. In recent years, Genna has obtained the additional certification of "Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT)" through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy in order to provide purposefully and effective manual therapy to her patients in conjunction with exercise. In her spare time, Genna enjoys hiking, so much so that she has made it a goal to hike all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4,000 feet mountains!
